I understand that as a rural P.O. there is less staff, that's a given. What I don't understand is how I will track a package to delivery, see its dropped off at the crack of dawn, then have to wait an additional 24-48 hours past the delivery date for them to take a package that is already there and place it into my P.O. box. I'm tired of making a commute into town just to see an empty P.O. box. I don't think it's industry standard to wait 1-2 days for a package that has already been delivered. There have also been instances at this location where they have trouble keeping track of deliveries. I once had to plead to the front desk 3 times in the span of one minute that my >$300 package was on site and marked as delivered. It took 3 attempts before I started to get frustrated at their attitude; low and behold they walked right to the back and came out with my package. Only after insisting to me that they didn't have it and that I misread my tracking terminal. I really hate leaving subpar reviews, but a good portion of my business there is just a headache to deal with. Every expensive package seems to be left in the hands of a few unqualified people.

Extremely patient & caring employees. Will help find your lost package, even when you're wrong (and irritable)

Stopped in to send bear spray back to my hometown which I always do with USPS (multiple times per year each year). The lady working the desk was indirectly rude and disrespectful. First of all she did not assist at all with helping me get a shipping label (no paper, sticker/label, zero advice). Went and took care of this on my own and return and she says “sorry you didn’t print the label to show it is hazardous”. She never told me this in the first place and NO post office has ever had this done. For some reason she wanted to be difficult and rude, maybe it made her feel better about herself? Took this to Ennis and they shipped it without questions. How does that make sense - she LIED. Don’t go here unless you want to deal with miserable people!

Passing through the area. One lady was really helpful in trying to find me a good rate for shipping some books to Europe. The other lady (taller) was definitely the business type and not a people person. The ladies seemed to know the locals. They did loan me a bit if tape I needed to close my package. Overall it was a good experience with no real complaints.
