11/10/2025 I had an expected delivery that was estimated to come by 3:45pm today, because of this I spent the whole day waiting at home for this package to arrive because it required a signature. 3:45pm comes and goes and I’m left rechecking the status of the package the rest of the night. At around 7:30pm I recheck and it says missed delivery and not secure location! Our mail was delivered at 7:15pm…. My package required a signature yet NO ONE KNOCKED ON OUR DOOR!! Not only that but I received a package from my friend today and whoever delivered it just left it on the side of the house close to the street instead of our door which is not something usps has done before when we’ve received packages.

I have a new residence here in Missoula. Moved in September 5th. Went to the post office same day to get a box and key made for the neighborhood mail area. It is now November 3rd and I still don’t have a designated box and key. Mind you, they don’t need to build a mailbox… they are already in the community ready to go. They just need to pick one for me and give me the key for it. On top of that I have to go in to get my mail each week (since I don’t have a mailbox) and they only ever have one attendant working each time. This is for the city of Missoula… there is always a huge line and it takes me > 30 minutes every time I go in.

What is up with mail delivery? Hasn't been any mail delivery in the Washington Middle school area of Missoula for almost 3 days now. The normal mail delivery man in this area usually starts his day at 9ish and has this area done by 12 noon. He's the best mailman and wears shorts all the time and in very excellent physical shape. No complaints against him at all. He's AWESOME. But - this is (was) getting ridiculous. The government shutdown supposedly hasn't affected the USPS. So what's going on?

Had paid for a key/cut for my box on September 3rd. Got a call on the 15th stating key ready for pick up. Go in to wait a hour in line for em to say they cant find it. Then fills out form for new key/cut. Waited til the 28th to go in an waited another 40minutes to hear same thing. ask em about it, no news. Then we fill out another form and today is the 7th. Still no call. Almost a month of waiting for someone to do there job. I dont care your short staffed. Fix your problem instead if making excuses and literally wasting my life away. Fix your problem federal building. 😒
