She insisted (very confidently) that to be rated as large envelopes, they had to be “paper things”. According to the USPS website, the maximum allowable size for large envelopes (flats) is 12 x 15 x 0.75 inches, which my envelopes clearly meet! The employee clearly needs retraining. Please have someone show her the actual USPS rules.

Had to mail official documents for the first time in 2 years and was a bit clueless about it, but they were helpful and got me in and out in 5 minutes. I’ll be happy to tell anyone it’s not as scary or complicated as they think, and the post office - at least the one on Kent - can help them if they’re not sure on what exactly they need to do!
