- RSRobert StevensJun 8, 20211.0I see why people go with UPS or Fedex for sending of important documents, but can't see why the Postal Service keeps wanting increases in their fees for horrible service. I was expecting an overnight letter to arrive, and according to the tracking on the web site, it was "out for delivery." It never showed up. After searching most of the day I drove 10 miles one way and tracked down the envelope to this Post Office in Deer Lodge only to find out the carrier for my area "forgot the item" and left it at the Deer Lodge Post Office. "We've had a lot of complaints about this carrier," I was told yet they still use the person. When I told the clerk that I had to drive 10 miles one way to track down the letter, she said, "Well, what do you want me to do?" I asked for $20 for gas, and was told "Oh no, not from me. When I asked the woman why she asked what she could do in the first place her reply was, "Well, I see you're only wanting to argue." The woman at the counter turned the entire situation around on me and made me out to be the bad guy for the situation. She told me the Post Master would have to resolve the issue. So I'm the bad guy for the carrier "forgetting" to load the letter, the tracking information not being correct, driving 20 miles trying to track down my mail, and a woman clerk not helpful at all. Oh yea... the pad where I was supposed to sign for my letter wasn't working at all. NO offer of refund or any restitution.
