- JHJames HennessyOct 15, 20251.0I am a small business owner that receives packages daily. I’m also a dog owner which apparently do not work together according to the Columbia Falls Postal Service. Today my pregnant wife went to pick up packages for me and our business and was screamed at by the post master. We get attempted delivery slips daily so it’s almost impossible to know which ones have been picked up or not. USPS refuses to deliver packages to our house because we have dogs. We were also told (yelled) that my wife can’t pickup packages for me or our business due to the divorce rate. The postal service has one job and it’s to deliver mail and they can not do that. Unfortunately I can not choose what service I’m sent mail through but if I could I would NEVER pick USPS.

This is after mail being missing for about a month and a half. It may not be their fault but the lack of understanding is pretty obvious from their tone.

Even after the carrier, who is new apparently, was instructed to not leave packages on front doors in our apartment building because of mail thefts. The post office refuses to take accountability. Even if the package is indeed found, I want it to be noted that the United States Post Office in Columbia Falls, Montana Filed a police report at 1:15 P.M. July 23rd. DO NOT HAVE YOUR MAIL DELIVERED BY THIS PARTICULAR POST OFFICE. GET A P.O. BOX IN A DIFFERENT CITY. Packages will say delivered, and when I go to check, they're never there. This is the third time this has happened in less than a month. I've never experienced a post office so disorganized and uncaring. When you call to inquire where your package is, it's always "I don't know, let me call the carrier and find out". I had a package delivered yesterday, July 22nd, that said delivered on Friday, July 18th. What in god's name is going on? There needs to be some accountability here.
