- KSKellen Stuart5 days ago1.0Don't deliver directly to your house if the package doesn't fit in your mailbox; they leave a pink slip forcing you to drive to the USPS location to pick up your package. It's some stupid policy where if you live more than 1/2 mile off the main hwy they won't deliver direct. The shipping is delayed because of the pink slip. You have to wait for them to first deliver the pink slip even though the package is physically at the post office. Their hours of operation are always during work hours or you have to get it Saturday before 2pm and closed Sunday. Staff is snarky and rude when you do go in to pick up your package.

The carrier crams my mail in the box, uses the parcel lockers for people they should deliver to and puts tags for post office pickup in the boxes for those beyond 1/2 mile from the highway. When I brought it to the post office attention, I was told they're contractors and there's nothing they can do about it. Um, you can change the contract to account for this, you can hold them accountable to the current contract, I'm sure there's something you can do, but they choose to do nothing. I work all day and can't leave work in Kalispell to come get a package.

I have lived in this community for many years, and I must say I am very disappointed with the service at this post office lately. I have had constant trouble receiving my mail and packages. The delivery truck passes right by my home, yet nothing is ever brought to my door. It has become quite frustrating. What saddens me even more is how unpleasant it is to speak with the staff inside. It feels like most of the employees have no patience or kindness anymore, and it’s truly discouraging. I know many people around town feel the same way and dread having to go in there. I hope to see improvements soon, because it wasn’t always like this. An old lady should not have to struggle so much just to get her mail.
