I have trying to get ahold of someone at the post office for 3 days now, no luck. The voice mail sucks. I am trying to find out where my package is! And when I try to put the tracking number in, I am told there is no package. But when I get ahold of the company that sent me the package they are telling me it was delivered. I know what happened, one of two things they kept it or the post person didn't put the key in my box.

I own a house in the area and had a package held here after USPS marked my address as “vacant.” When I came to pick it up, the clerk (Agent #6) was immediately combative — questioning whether I was “living there” because my power isn’t currently on, and even assuming I lived in a trailer (it’s actually an A-frame home).
I offered to show my deed, but she refused to look at it and acted like receiving mail at my own property was somehow illegal (it’s not). I even shared the story of how I came to own the house — inherited from my mother after she passed away, but due to complications it ended up in my grandmother’s name. My grandmother wanted to give it back to me while she was alive, but as she developed dementia, she never managed to get me her lawyer’s number. She passed away, and I then had to wait through years of inheritance delays before I could start turning this house into my home. She showed no sympathy and ignored my story entirely.
I couldn’t shake the feeling I was being profiled — I’m a young adult, wearing a psychedelic graphic tee, with my long hair tied in a bun. Ironically, she still handed me my package, proving her argument wrong.
The only reason this isn’t 1 star is because I did get my package, and because the man who helped me over the phone the day before (possibly the manager) was extremely helpful and kind. That made the in-person treatment all the more jarring.
Management should address both the vacant-flag process and basic customer service here.
