I don't know what's going on in this facility but I have been a USPS customer for probably 10 consecutive years and this specific facility by far offers the worst experience I have ever had as a USPS customer.
1. I constantly keep getting mail for people I don't know. It's happened so often that I finally invested in a Return to Sender stamp. I stamp it on the envelope to return to the sender and they put it right back in my mailbox. I put it in their box to return to sender and they will put it right back in my mailbox again.
2. I asked to speak with the postmaster about this and right away the customer service agent decides to give me attitude like I need this and this is my fault or something.
3. The postmaster honestly was no better. I couldn't even articulate what I was saying before she interrupted basically saying that it is their duty to put it back in my mailbox because the address is correct even though I don't know who this person is. I advised her she is absolutely mistaken and it is USPS's duty to acknowledge who actually should get mail at the mail box and stop delivering stuff for people who are not identified on my account. She then literally tells me to leave the facility! Like... What? That definitely had something to do with race and was just a cop out because what I said made sense and she was logically embarrased by a Black Male in front of other customers (which was not my goal). She should definitely check the neighborhood she's in about that one... This is CANTON, MS and WE ARE EVERYWHERE HERE. She also even denied me the ability to modify/amend or even review who shouold recieve mail at the box I pay for. Literally as if I have no ability whatsoever to manage the PO Box. (Totally speechless about this).
4. Things cooled down for about a month after that and I stop receiving mistaken mail. And then it starts again. Same cycle. Unknown People to my mailbox with my box number. I stamp return to sender and it somehow cycles right back to my inbox again.
5. All right so we will make a legal case out of it. (I obviously cannot meet with the Post Master directly... remember? I tried that... So we need a third party to come and take a look at this... See if Im crazy or something).
6. Next up, I have a package from Amazon delivered there and they refuse it.
7. I honestly got 5 star service at the Jackson USPS (off Ellis)... USPS Execs seriously need to shake everything up at this particular place because the entire outfit in Canton is without question a legal liability that is going to get the entire group placed in court. i am telling you straight up and down... They DO NOT follow Federal nor U.S.P.S. Service Policies whatsoever. They in fact are at times completely aware of what the law/policy requires them to do and they will for some reason do the complete opposite of what is expected/required... and trust me, I will absolutely have fun proving that.
8. I told you guys.... Simply return it to the sender! I don't know these people and I'm sick of getting mail for them. So, since you want to purposely inconvenience me with mail that does not belong to me I will bark this up the chain as far as it can possibly go, with evidence, paper work and all. I will also consider a Law Suit as well.
9. Trust me... That 2 Star rating I gave is EXTREMELY GENEROUS! We all have a job... All I asked was that you do yours.

Every package that’s stops at your post office headed to Columbia sits at your post office for over a week before being shipped out of that location. All my packages are over a week late and are always held up in Canton. What is the problem there????????

Every time that I have an issue it's immediately resolved. The mail people are extremely professional and pleasant to work with and they seem to be happy every time that I see them. Very joyful spirit. Love them.
