- RLrakshya lamichhaneJul 24, 20251.0I had a 9:00 AM appointment for a passport application. Unfortunately, I did not receive any prior email or notification about the cancellation. It turns out only one person at the location handles passport applications, and they had called in sick. I only found out after driving 40 minutes to the post office. To make matters worse, the cancellation email was sent about 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time—by which point I had already made the trip and spoken with the staff. Very frustrating experience and a poor communication process. Better contingency planning and timely notifications are needed.

As I had done MANY times before, I called to have the package held and would pick it up when they opened. I was told they do not do that. What? They would rather throw electronics on the porch and hope it's still there that night than have it picked up at the office? Not much service in the postal service!
