You can’t mail anything here unless it’s already stamped.

I'm a traveling professional and well staying here in the month of October. I visited this post office three times and none of these times was I able to even buy stamps. The first time I was there I was informed all the computers were down and all they could do was accept prepaid packages. The second time I went there the person authorized to dispense stamps was in a meeting and the person at the window was only authorized to scan and ring up my package to send. The third time I went here they were closed for a 2-hour lunch break. I have been calling because I am now flying out today and have packages that I need to ship back to myself. Unfortunately, I'm highly concerned that several hours will be their lunch break and that I will be taking lifts and Ubers to post offices all over the city if I can't use this one. It's highly aggravating for people that aren't driving. I walk about 25 minutes to get to this post office with my package. Only for them to be unable to ship it or them to not even be open. I've called a couple of times today. Nobody has answered the phone at this location or at the next closest location, which seems to have very similar reviews. The same staffing issues the same business hours not being honored. It's such a shame. This whole neighborhood and community is absolutely lovely and I've enjoyed my time here and the only thing that seems to not work in Maplewood is the post office. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Wouldn’t let me take picture of my own package’s shipping label, claiming it violates policy. The actual policy has been clarified by OIG, on February 28, 2019, stating that “The Inspection Service would like to clarify that customers CAN take pictures of their packages after postage has been affixed to have physical proof their item has been accepted at the post office … Additionally, there is no expectation of privacy on the outside of an envelope (package).” Please learn your own policy before being rude to customers. First time I’ve ever had an issue out of hundreds of packages being shipped from 6 major cities, and it might end up costing me nearly $1000 because of the head of this post office’s incompetency.
