Holidays at lunch time, one person behind counter. Other walked away with 4 people waiting and couldn’t walk any slower doing whatever else it is that has them moving from place to place in the office, empty handed, ignoring people in line.

Visited pretty recently, around 3pm on a Friday. I was trying to mail a package to my best friend for her birthday. Was second in line and didn't wait very long. Tina at the desk was so helpful and kind. She smiled, was well spoken, and was super polite!!! She efficiently got my package weighed and ready and then offered me Christmas stamps (tis the season!). This was amazing because this branch offered different stamps than other branches and I liked the variety. This would have been a top-tier visit... But this branch mailed the package back to me. Tina said the package was set to be delivered the next Tuesday-ish to my friennd. This was perfect! My friend's birthday was Wednesday. But in mailing the package back to my house (and a holiday/day off in the mix too) -- my package did not get to my friend til Saturday. Basically, I had planned everything perfectly with time to spare and it got to her three days late due to this branch's mistake. And here are the finer details: If you look at the picture of my package, I have "To" and "From" listed/printed. I have since learned that you're supposed to address packages like you do letters: Return address first, Mail-to address second. I definitely had those swapped - My fault for sure. However!!! The people at the desk are supposed to verify the Mail-to anyway. This didn't happen at Clayton and I didn't catch that either. I do claim some responsibility here, but it's literally their job, and I labeled the package more than clearly. I even had the font size for "Mail to" larger so it could be seen first. And logically: my friend lives far away... Wouldn't the mail person know that I'm not mailing "From" that city??? Am I in the wrong here? Overall, disappointed. But the place was clean, spacious, not a huge wait, and the parking was actually not horrible for Clayton. Great service in regard to personality, but not great service in that the job was botched! If you go here, double check your Mail-to!
