- DMDavid MeltonSep 10, 20251.0Mail delivery is poor. The mailman can't or won't deliver the mail to the right mailbox. When someone said something to the post office Michelle said "I don't know what the big deal is. It's just mail" and was allowed to keep her job. Someone should lose Michelle's tax refund or driver's license and tell her what's the big deal it's just mail and see how she likes it when it's done to her. The post office wonders why they're losing money and can't keep up with e-mail.

It was the day before Christmas Eve, and I had one mission: track down a package I ordered from Etsy back in mid-November. USPS said it was chilling in Mexico, but it was supposed to be delivered between the 20th and 23rd—perfect timing for my dad’s Christmas gift. Or so I thought. Thinking I could speed up the process, I braved the USPS battlefield. Upon entering, I was greeted by Darla, a blond-haired beacon of bitterness who was busy not helping another poor soul. She couldn’t find the old lady’s package and made sure to deliver her lack of assistance with a healthy dose of attitude. Lovely. When it was my turn, I handed over the tracking number and explained the situation. Darla barely glanced at it before declaring, “Oh no, that’s one of those scam numbers.” Then, in what I can only describe as the saddest excuse for "trying," she clacked at her keyboard for two seconds, shrugged, and told me my package wasn’t in their system. Now, I work in IT, so I know user error when I see it. I could pull up my package just fine on their website. But Darla? Nah, she wasn’t about to let facts ruin her day. She doubled down, arguing with me and serving up enough sass to power a small city. Instead of actually helping, she just dismissed me and kept repeating her favorite line: “You got scammed.” Fast forward to the day after Christmas, and guess what was in my mailbox? Yep. My dad’s present. Not a scam. Just good old Darla being as useful as a wet sock. Thanks to her, I missed my chance to give my dad his gift on time because, surprise, he doesn’t live down the street.
