  Was a great place to get what you needed, we bought alot of stuff from them, unfortunately went out of business last week

  I went to Staples today to use the shredding service. When I walked in, there was a long line for the UPS service where I needed to have my bag weighed. One associate was kind enough to usher me over to the scale so I didn’t have to wait in that long line since I wasn’t shipping anything. I really appreciated her help. Here’s where the problem starts. After I put all my documents into the shred bin, I went to the copy and print counter to pay. There was only one customer ahead of me. The young lady working that area helped the customer in front of me, then I stepped up to the counter and she walked off. No acknowledgement at all. I stood there for a few minutes while she completely ignored me. I eventually walked back to the UPS area and asked where I check out. The associate sent me back to copy and print. I stood there again, still being ignored, until I finally said, “Excuse me, I need to pay for the shred service.” She responded with, “Oh, I see you standing there. I’m multitasking. I’ll be with you in a minute.” Then she said I could just check out at the front. I would’ve given more stars because everyone else I interacted with was helpful, including the cashier at the front. Unfortunately, that one interaction really soured the experience. Staples, please hire people who understand the value of solid customer service.
