  Went in to drop off an Amazon return and could not get the time of day from the young lady at the Amazon returns counter, asked for help twice but she was busy on her cell phone and I was clearly just bothering her. If this is an example of their customer service I will definitely continue shopping at Amazon and just pick one of the hundred other drop off locations for the occasional return.

  Went to do an Amazon return and they said their systems were down so they were unable to due process any returns and didn’t know when the systems would be back up.

  HORRIBLE! Through the holidays of 2025 their hours were posted wrong online for both Staples and for UPS Access Shipping, as they take UPS packages. The other two UPS stores that were available to drop packages off are now closed permanently leaving Staples in Jefferson City you're only UPS access point. Staples closed early the day before New Year's Eve (Jan 29) without posting anything online or updating their website & apparently UPS as UPS still believed them to be open until 8:00 p.m. December 29th! However Staples and UPS both had their websites and Google updated with being closed December 30th and January 1st for New Year's. I had to have a package out December 29th, the nearest one to us, still open that evening once I found Staples doors closed without a note, was over an hour away. Needless to say my package did not get sent and was absolutely necessary to go out that day. My customers were let down due to their incompetence to notify the public of their early closing on a non-holiday. I returned the day after New Year's Day at 8:00 a.m. Posted online through UPS and Staples, once again, their hours were wrong, when I arrived at 8:10 a.m. this morning there were no cars in the parking lot and Staples was closed! They had a paper posted on the front door this morning stating that they changed their store hours to open at 9:00 a.m. as of December 12th. I'm assuming that they have not reported this to UPS as UPS is still showing that they open and available for package drop off at Staples UPS Access Station at 8:00 a.m. Today is January 2nd and still Staples and UPS websites hours are not updated!!! So here I sit for an hour waiting for them to open in 34° weather with my car running for a half an hour waiting for the doors to open. I will never return to Staples or to UPS for any shipments!! I attempted to call UPS customer service on January 29th when I found that Staples was closed and that the other UPS stores had closed permanently but had not been updated online either, but I could not get through to a live person, the automated system did not have an option for the issue of incorrect posted store hours on websites and online with Google, knorr on the storefront window for December 29th early closing. Online it still states that both the UPS stores were still open as well as Staples with UPS still open and on their regular hours of opening at 8:00 a.m. and closing at 8:00 p.m. this is a major inconvenience businesses & private individuals. This is not how you run national companys that are necessary for the community's use when office supplies, printing, and UPS shipping IS BOTH NEEDED AND EXPECTED PER THEIR ADVERTISED & PROMISED HOURS OF AVAILABILITY. To my knowledge Staples is the only office equipment & supply store available to people in Jefferson City and now they are the only UPS shipping center in Jefferson City. FAIL!!!!!!! AND FIRED!

  Staples has changed their hours to being closed at 6 pm. This means if you have an Amazon drop off, you have to do it before 5 pm. Any time after that you will be denied service even if the clerk is just setting at the reception area. This happened to me tonight when I got there just past 5 pm. As I was walking out, others were walking in just to find the same fate awaiting them. They claim it is because they can’t find help.

  Outstanding Customer Service from Josh at Staples (Jefferson City, MO) I cannot say enough good things about Josh at the Staples in Jefferson City, Missouri. About a week or so ago, I called regarding a project I was trying to get completed. Every other Staples location I contacted in Missouri seemed unsure, dismissive, or unwilling to help — but not Josh. From the very first phone call, Josh took the time to truly listen and work through the project with me. He patiently walked me through the steps, offered solutions, and helped figure out how we could make the project happen. After talking with him two or three times over the phone to finalize the details, I felt confident enough to drive down from the St. Louis area specifically because of his help. Once I arrived, Josh absolutely exceeded my expectations. His customer service was excellent. He was polite, professional, and genuinely happy to help. You can tell he takes real pride in his work and truly enjoys what he does. His attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile made all the difference. I am extremely grateful for Josh and the care he put into my project. He turned what had been a frustrating experience into a great one. Staples in Jefferson City is incredibly lucky to have him, and I would highly recommend working with Josh to anyone who wants outstanding service and results. It was the best customer service I have ever experienced.
