There were no other customers, three employees at the counter, who didnt appear to be busy because I had my pick of the 3...yet I was directed to use the self-service kiosk. The young girl had to assist me at the kiosk and again at the counter when my label messed up, but being sent away when staff were available feels unnecessary and counterintuitive. A kiosk cannot replace real customer service, and the entire interaction would have been much faster if the employee had helped me from the start rather than having me use the self service machine. It was an unusual experience compared to past visits, which were straightforward and customer-focused. It appears the owner is making this store policy which is unfortunate. When a company is known for their positive customer service they stand out to consumers who are used to being thrown in front of a machine for the sake of speed. A successful store is one where people walk out with a positive interaction.
