So much so that as I left the store a woman I had never met before who was standing in line to be waited on said the management had been so rude to me I should report it. Then she said that she didn’t even know me but almost came to my defense because of the totally rude way in which the manager was speaking to me.

Phyllis at the counter immediately balked at the laptops. She said something like, "So you want us to charge you for boxing up your laptops?" Phyllis, I'm here with my kids, I have free shipping labels. I don't have any of the boxes they came in because it was over a year ago. I said something like, "Well I wouldn't hold it against you if you didn't charge me," but this fell flat. She was clearly angry for some reason. They couldn't find the shipping labels I had sent a couple of days previously, and Phyllis seemed to doubt that they'd ever been sent. I don't know why I was getting the third degree-- I was just there to mail some stuff. I showed her the email I'd sent not 48 hours previously and told her she could adjust her hostile attitude to me, especially in front of my small children. She then types up everything and charges me $69 for the four laptops (mind you, this isn't shipping, this is just to box them). She gives me no options-- this is just what it is. UPS always has options, but no, to slap these four used laptops into boxes would be $69, not shipping or anything. Whatever. This is the first time I've ever gone into a UPS Store and felt treated like I wasn't worth their time or energy. UPDATE: I followed the instructions to contact this store and they never responded. Also-- I only received delivery notifications for three of the four laptops I had returned. I will be sending them a bill for that fourth laptop and pursuing it in small claims court if it was not delivered. Their response to me was clearly just a front. No action was taken and they may very well have retaliated against me by not delivering my fourth laptop.
