- ASAlcuin SchloederFeb 21, 20261.0Lately I’ve noticed a disturbing pattern. When my regular carrier has the day off I’ll get an incompetent fill in carrier. Soon my regular carrier will be retiring. And it’s alarming. My most important mail . Tax forms, Retirement , Medicare and Social Security documents are at risk of getting lost or stolen. Consistently delivered to the wrong mailbox of known criminal neighbors. My question is. How long can I have my mail withheld at the post office for me to pick up in person? Thank you.

I stopped by the post office a few days later and the clerk went to search for my package even though I told her it was probably gone already. She found it and brought it to me. I really appreciated her help and kindness.

They have misplaced 5 packages in 6 months. I call rarely does someone answer. When they do answer they say they cannot help me and I need to submit a ticket online. Useless.
