- MWMark WeberNov 3, 20251.0You pay more now for cable than before and you receive several fewer cable channels than you did 10 years ago for less price. Never seen such a garbage cable in my life. Can’t even watch a national news channel or a common cable channel that’s included in basic cable 10 miles down the road. Absolutely needs a competitor because they care not for the customers that they keep a stranglehold on now.. I would absolutely support a competitor coming into the area.

I've had A LOT of outages in 9 years, a few of them up to 2 or 3 days long. No communication about them, either. I had to call to inquire about what was going on. One of those outages was because my router was outdated and no longer working but no one told me I needed a new one. I had to go in and complain, was given a newer model which I had to set up myself and it wasn't even reset to factory password. I wasted hours trying to connect it to my devices and finally managed a work around on my laptop where I could see the password. It was someone's old phone number! How would I ever have known that? The last time I had to call the office, the lady on the phone was rude, as well. Also their prices aren't the best. Get other service if you can.

The upgrade to fiber optic service was a great improvement, and we currently subscribe to internet service only, having discontinued cable TV due to its high cost and limited channel selection. In the years I’ve been with BC, I’ve only contacted customer service twice—once for a cable box issue and once regarding billing. Unfortunately, in both instances, I found the customer service to be rude and unhelpful.
