I am writing to express my extreme frustration with the Lakeville Post Office. This isn't the first time they've been belligerent and treated my mail with complete disregard. My latest issue involves a package that was marked as 'delivered' but was nowhere to be found. After I contacted USPS customer service, an investigation was opened. I received an email from USPS Supervisor confirming that the package was indeed misdelivered and is now considered irretrievable. The carrier went back but could not find it, and there is seemingly no accountability for the man who received my package by mistake on Howland Ave W. with a doorbell with a camera on it. His street name isn’t even close to my street name. To add insult to injury, I was told that because the package was not insured, I cannot be reimbursed, and the burden falls on me to contact the merchant for a reshipment or refund. This is absolutely unacceptable. The post office made the error, yet they take zero responsibility for it. This isn't just about a missing package; it's about a complete failure of service and a lack of accountability. Lakeville Post Office needs to do better. Please help our community.

Zero stars. This USPS has been failing me since 2017. They will routinely fail to deliver your mail and packages, so hopefully you weren't waiting on any crucial checks or deliveries. Over 200 reviews of this particular post office, and they can't even crack a 2.0 stars. That pretty much tells you everything you need to know, but here's a specific example. My international order, made in April, arrived in Lakeville in May, sat in their dingy storehouse for a month without notifying me they had it(!!) and then shipped it back to the sender in Japan! And when I went to file a missing mail claim with them in person, I was told they should have notified me with a slip of paper but they failed to do so, and that they "only hold a package for a month before sending it back." Then they said "we don't even have a delivery address for that package" which is absurd. So my address wasn't listed anywhere on that package?? Then how were you going to notify me when it arrived?? They weren't. They didn't. And in the end there's nothing they can do about it, it's already in the system and on it's way back to the sender. They failed, they don't take accountability, and when pressed on it all they can do is say "sorry that's just our policy." You can't file a missing mail claim when they know exactly where it is and its there because of their mistakes! But I was told "you should always check the tracking" as a way of passing off the blame to the consumer once again. And I don't want to blame any particular individual per se here, but we need to address that the entire postal service is deeply flawed and falling apart at the seams. Ship with extreme caution, or avoid entirely.
