- FLFelicity LanOct 31, 20251.0Such malpractice behavior will make us never use USPS again. I went to the nearby Hamel post office to send a regular letter on 10/31/2025 . The female employee told me my letter was bulgy and can't be sent by regular mail. It can only be sent by parcel, which would take three days and include delivery confirmation. I told her I didn't need those services. Then, I asked her if there were any other cheaper options, and she said "No, this is the only choice." Finally, I paid $7.5 (Ground Advantage) just for a bulgy letter. When I got home, my husband told me that I could have other cheaper shipping methods. That's outrageous! She was using her position of authority to demand that I pay more postage than I should. She deliberately made me use more expensive service. If I had known this, I would have gone to UPS, which is cheaper than USPS !! Furthermore, I also bought two sets of stamps, and the female employee just left them on the table. It was raining outside, so I had to ask her for an envelope to put the stamps in. The service was terrible!

I’m sure it had to do with me being a black woman but they for sure spoke to me in a more condescending tone that the gentleman next to me. Also said please, thank you and have a great day and I received none of that back. Small town or not we are all people my family owns property in this area - we are just as part of the community as well.

- IGIrene GreMar 9, 20161.0Do not let them to take your US passport picture, it felt like they were doing my mugshot and I was some kind of fugitive for not having the photo done beforehand; the photo came out awful and I regret the whole experience of getting my US passport appointment in there. One of the ladies is so not customer oriented and exudes negativity, but the other, her name starts with an M was friendly and helpful.
