EDIT/UPDATE: DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! They're poorly trained, aggressively attempt to force that lack of training on you, and will physically chase you! (While I recognize this may be '"Privileged"/1st world issues', their behavior borders on scary, and they've physically grabbed at my cart and its contents multiple times) While Primo has done a great job at increasing inventory at this site, the location STAFF are absolutely untrained. Also, the water station and returns corral are regularly blocked by store equipment (restock carts, rolling flats, and similar). Today was also the *second* time I've been followed to the door - this time the door greeter actually chased me into the parking lot - because the staff don't understand what an "exchange" is. When you return an empty bottle to the Primo "empties" corral, you can scan a QR code that gives you a discounted barcode for a replacement jug. The barcodes that are on the full jugs are for full-price/new-purchases, so you scan the QR code to get the discount that used to be available by the coupon dispensers. This site removed the dispenser in favor of the code, which is fine. HOWEVER - the location STAFF do not get this. If you have a capped, 5-gallon jug in your cart, they're convinced you're stealing if you use the discounted barcode. According to them, you can only get a refill if you use the solitary water refill station halfway in the back of the store (and have a now-uncapped, 50lb jug in your cart). Full, capped jugs MUST BE (according to them) full price. If they see you scan your QR barcode, they'll actually try to stop you and get you to pay full price. Today I had the self-checkout worker physically grabbing at my cart/merchandise, trying to get me to scan the code on the Primo jug, and going through my other stuff. When I refused, she walkied ahead to the door greeter, who chased after me (into the parking lot!) trying to get me to come back and pay full price. Both times, they've checked the register, and told me I didn't pay ENOUGH, even though the correct code and quantity was on the screen. They think that paying $7-ish bucks per 5 gallon jug isn't possible (the last one actually told me I hadn't paid enough, and today the monitor actually pulled up my transaction as I was leaving, to check). I had my receipt, I had paid in-full, and I was being chased down by a greeter because they're convinced they know better. If I'm wrong, then explain to me how I'm supposed to REFILL a bottle I just PHYSICALLY RETURNED to a holding corral. I will NEVER be going here again, and I will be warning my friends against it. I may actually stop using Primo altogether, and just give away my cooler. It's not worth the harassment by untrained staff who think they're cops. Original Review: Mid-February, and this site is out again. I had meant to list this as a separate review. The attached photo is from my visit on 17 Feb 2025, as it's empty again. This is a very common issue across most Primo locations in the Eagan, Eden Prairie, and surrounding areas. (@Walmart, @HomeDepot) The site was briefly stocked after my last review, with what appeared to be a full pallet of bottles. (All new, all identical in wear/coloration/labeling). Once those ran out, however, there has been no restock. The empties bin is also unsecured, and fell open while I was onsite. It's also still not dispensing refill tickets, so I keep a snapshot of one on my phone to get proper credit.
