Horrible company. Not even on sight but had to block all handicapped parking!

Frequently Asked Questions About Midwest Sign Company
What types of signs do we offer?
We offer a wide variety of signs, from small vinyl decals to large pylon signs and everything in between. We are a one-stop shop for all your sign needs. Basically, if it’s not a billboard, we probably do it.
How can I request a quote for a specific sign?
What materials are commonly used for outdoor signs?
The majority of outdoor signs are constructed using sheet and angle aluminum, extruded aluminum, and steel. If the sign is illuminated, we use the latest LED technology to ensure bright, even lighting.
What types of indoor signs do we provide?
We offer many types of indoor signs, including wall graphics, custom lobby signs, wayfinding signs, ADA-compliant room identification signs, and so much more.
You can request a quote or consultation via our general email address, info@midwestsignco.com. You can also call our office at 616-583-1743 to speak with a salesperson who will assist you with anything you need to start your project.
Do we offer custom sign designs?
We specialize in custom signs and really thrive in the process. From concept to design to installation, we will bring your vision to life and create something together that will truly represent your company and brand identity.
How long does the sign-making process usually take?
This will vary widely depending on what type of sign is ordered and what time of year. We work diligently to keep lead times down, but warmer times of the year bring more work, which inevitably affects that installation date. There are shorter lead times for signage that includes just a panel and some vinyl, whereas a full-on, custom main ID sign could take up to 10 weeks.
Can we assist with the sign installation?
We absolutely offer sign installation. We have a very experienced install team of licensed sign specialists and assistants.
What size limitations do we have for custom signs?
We have the capabilities for almost any size sign, but we work with township and city ordinances to figure out what is allowed for the business's zone so that we can acquire permits for the sign. Therefore, we are only limited by those regulations. The same goes for sign placement, as there are often minimum setback requirements.
Are our signs weather-resistant?
Like a car, they are weather resistant to a point. If you don’t maintain your sign, you will see aging years down the road.
What maintenance is required for outdoor signs?
Painted aluminum signs should be maintained like cars. They should be washed every week or two (more in the winter on signs close to the road) with any paint-friendly cleaning product.
Can we create signage for events or trade shows?
Yes, we can!
What are the differences between vinyl, acrylic, and metal signs?
When it comes to material, it’s all about the application. Vinyl graphics are typically used for door decals, panels, and vehicles. They can be used for short-term or long-term situations.
Acrylic signage is dimensional. It gives life to a piece, whether it be your logo on the side of your building, some address numbers, or an interior standoff sign with your logo or other information on it inside your office. These can be painted or covered with graphics to achieve whatever design idea you are looking for.
Metal signs, from channel letters to monument signs and pylon signs, are the most common for business identification. These signs can be illuminated or not and will always carry a dimension to them that will stand out above all other signage.
How can I inquire about the progress of my sign order?
You will have a personal account manager who will communicate with you throughout the process and will be available to answer any questions.
What warranty or guarantees come with our signs?.
We have a 1-year warranty on labor and parts that we stand firmly behind. LEDs and power supplies have a 5-year warranty.
Can we create ADA-compliant signage?
Yes, we have a lot of experience with ADA-compliant signage and can do standard designs or more custom, branded designs.
What file types are accepted for custom designs?
Vector artwork files like .ai, .eps, or .svg are the easiest. However, if you cannot access the original vector files of your logo or design, our designers can work on recreating the artwork for production to the best of their abilities.
Do we offer shipping or delivery for signs?
We install signage every single day, sometimes right around the corner and sometimes as far as Colorado. We quote sign installations all over the country.
Do we offer illuminated or LED signs?
Yes, absolutely. We specialize in custom, illuminated signs and we are one of the top dealers in Michigan of Electronic Message Centers.
Can we match specific colors or branding guidelines?
Yes. We always make sure everything is in accordance with branding guidelines and that we have accurate color-matching capabilities.
