The whole take Amazon returns to Staples is a joke and when store leadership was told, they said they get complaints constantly but can't do anything about it because of company policy.
Well, if a policy angers customers so much that they will now go anywhere else to never step foot in a Staples again, there's a problem.
Never again. Ever. Stay away from Staples.

Heaven forbid you have to return anything to Staples if Shorty is working. I came to the store to return a Staples-branded item. Unfortunately, I had the wrong receipt with me, and instead of helping locate it through my Purchase/Rewards history, Shorty sent me out of line and told me to find it myself. She also claimed item was "too old to return anyway." I located the proof of purchase, got back in line, and once I got to the front of the line, Shorty took the person behind me and pawned me off on another clerk, who was helpful and courteous and processed the return effortlessly. I left the store feeling like "Shorty" had a grudge against me.
Shorty is repeatedly rude and condescending, not just to me but I've witnessed it with other customers, as well. She told the person in front of me making an Amazon return that she really should take the return to the UPS store on 14th, because it was a lot of work for Staples to process them. The customer informed Shorty she was directed by Amazon to bring the return to Staples.
On another visit, I was returning a book purchased through Amazon. Shorty waited on the two people behind me who were making purchases first before waiting on me. Then she had the audacity to accuse me of 'buying the book, reading it, then returning it.' I had received two identical copies for Christmas that I received 2 days prior. Neither had been cracked open, much less read.
Seriously, I'm to the point that if I come into Staples and Shorty is working, I'm going to turn around and go to Target or Walmart instead.

Bought the Staples brand raffle tickets online and designated a volunteer to pick them up. Volunteer was not allowed to pick them up without a barcode, and when we finally got them the quality is terrible. (low-quality paper; and not pre-punched. We have to cut them apart with scissors) Do not recommend.

Why do the associates have to YELL??? If we need assistance, we see you; we’ll ask. Yelling throughout the store, “Can I help anyone?!?!” is very unprofessional and jarring to customers.
