I’m so beyond fed up with this post office. I send over 40,000 dollars worth of Etsy packages alone through them every year and they absolutely refuse to listen to my concerns. The post master owes me an apology-or five. Just go to the Lambertville location if you can-please. I've had a postal carrier scream bloody murder on my porch because she had to scan my businesses packages. (I was home, my car was broken at the time). And the post master refused to address it. Then my eBay packages started to be taken but not scanned, and I complained about both things and they never once apologized to me. I once shipped a handmade wizard staff, and it arrived broken. The postmaster claimed it wasn’t insured, even though Ground Advantage had once covered up to $100 (when it first came out). When I explained this, he was dismissive of me, saying, “Nobody knows what YOU ARTISTS and your items are worth. This stick—did you buy it?” I told him I made it myself. “SEE?” He said, as if this was evidence my item was worthless. This was the first and only time I even felt insulted as an artist. He made it abundantly clear that 'artists like me' were a pain, and that it is as not a career worth respecting. USPS can value an item based on what the customer paid, but he refused to, saying, simply “I won’t give you $100 for this.” Then he took my piece. Did you know that USPS sells your damaged items at auction? I run a small business, fulfilling orders as fast as I can. I ship packages almost every day. Sometimes 20, sometimes just one. I don't always know how many need to go out in a given day. Some packages are rushed for Birthdays special events, etc. Anyways. Our postal carrier is notorious for not scanning my eBay packages and still taking them away. Now, the postmaster keeps calling my personal cellphone, and INSTEAD of actually adressing my complaints, he keeps telling me to leave packages in the mailbox, saying putting one or just a few small ones inside the pickup box isn't acceptable, it's too much work. I’ve put them in the mailbox a few times, but when I do, the carrier has a habit of not taking all of them. I half wonder if it's lack of attentiveness or just to spite me because picking up items for my business is 'troublesome'. They like to leave one behind... I thought about filing a complaint for this, but I figured I would be dismissed and ignored so I decided to just let it go. I don't want him calling me, I don't want to interface with the post master. He is always rude to me. Also, with a known neighborhood thief, I don’t feel safe leaving custom handmade items near the road all day in our mailbox. Why should I accommodate them when they’ve stolen my eBay packages multiple times and won't even take everything I put in the mailbox? Every time filed a complaint, they just complained back and never apologized, making it seem like all this was somehow my fault. I used to leave cute notes, even candy, but after all this, I have a really bad taste in my mouth. By not properly handling my eBay packages, it makes it seem like I never sent them—so my business insurance won’t cover losses, and I end up with angry customers, and having to remake items over and over, My postal carrier is unpredictable, and my eBay shipments have disappeared. I'm beginning to wonder if they will deny me service if I don't put my pickup packages in the place they want me to put them. Online, it shows that you may choose where to put your packages, but apparently, this is not so. Another ongoing issue is the postal pickup online hub itself. When I miss pickups, it's because the hub doesn't send me a confirmation, so I think it didn't go through. Again, not my fault, and I leave notes about this sometimes because it happens on occasion. Will they deny me service in the future? It is looking like they are considering it. As a tax-paying citizen, I have a right to service. I would like a new carrier, one that scans my packages, and takes all the items in the given box. I'd like to think that this isn't an acceptable version of USPS services,
