I was called to share my experience that I have encountered within the 7 years that I have given Robert Half. Robert Half at first was a pretty good company to work with, they had agents that loved actually helping people find opportunities and also loved building a connection with the people themselves. I had a few short time jobs that were listed as long term and or we could get hired into after our contract was up and also the pay was given before going for interview but would change to a smaller amount after we accepted the job. Slowly the agent's started becoming short tempered and eventually would not keep you updated of openings that they could definitely get you in or even keep you updated regarding the rating you left behind. It started becoming "secretive" and the answered phone calls would gradually go to voicemails for days where no one would call back, that's when I figured that I should be strict on what position I accepted because Robert Half was picking contractors that were not supportive of us workers and had no interest in keeping us full time. It was not always a good experience however we are all human and as a person who was in customer service and was also self employed I understand that there are times where things do fall through. STILL, as humans we should have not gotten our hopes up and have also been in the loop of what was going on being that WE were the one's looking for jobs. I am not sure on how Robert Half is now being that I finally found a job I love and got hired in but I do know that Ron who was my recruiter for the job I'm working at pushed for me and even though I kept getting his voicemail, he seemed to still try his best at keeping me in the loop.
Moral of the story, anywhere you go, you're going to have to put up with something because that's just life and If I were to choose a staffing company all over again it most likely would be Robert Half because they DO get you into something no matter what.

In response to Robert Half: It wasn't that I was unhappy with the position I was offered. I was unhappy with the service provided by Robert Half employees. From the agent I was assigned to (who ghosted me once I started asking questions) to the assistant vice president who wasted my time further. The position would've been fine if I would've been told the truth from the beginning. I have no intention of taking this further. I brought up my grievances with the assistant vice president who seemed disinterested in getting to the bottom of my complaints until I expressed interest in taking it over her head. I've already sent an email to corporate long ago with no response. Thanks for the response though. That is the most professional courtesy I've been awarded by your company. Maybe you should see the pattern here with these reviews and do something about it.
For reference: I have an impressive resume with years of administrative experience, schooling, and references. I scored nearly 14,000 alpha-numeric characters/hour on their typing test, which I'm told is the highest they've seen at that office. If this is how they treat me then imagine how they might treat some one with less to offer.
I had originally stayed clear of Robert Half because of the overwhelming negative reviews. It wasn't until I was approached by them on Indeed that I fell for the trap. They offered me a data entry position that didn't pay very well but had some perks that made it seem worth it. Most of what I was told that was alluring about the position happened to be "half-truths". For example: I was told that there was a possibility of working from home. Get to orientation and find out that, while it's true, you have to be hired in. Since RH has a 4 month contract you have to at least be a temp for that long before you can even apply for an open position. After talking with permanent employees asking why they weren't working from home you find out that it's actually quite rare to be able to do that. There's also "you don't have to talk with customers" which is also technically true but they leave out where you have extensive contact with customers but it's all done via email. Stuff like that where they are vague enough to not be considered untruthful. I suppose I should've asked more questions beforehand. There was a reason this was a high turnaround position which they also conveniently leave out of their pitch. Out of the 8 people that started same day, less than half were still there Friday.
After bringing up some concerns about the position, I inquired about how long I was obligated to stay there since I had no intention of trying to become a permanent employee. After two days, it became apparent that I had been ghosted by my staffing agent. I returned my work badge the following day and thought that would be the end of it.
Almost immediately after dropping off my badge, I get two phone calls, a voicemail and a text message from the assistant vice president of the office to speak about other offers. Shocked, I reached out to her specifically only to be blown off again. I was absolutely fine just being done with them after dropping off my badge. They frantically reached out to me three separate times only to blow me off. I wish this was the end....
About 30 days later I get a phone call and voicemail from the original staffing agent that ghosted me. I thought this was a joke and sent an email informing her of her mistake without a response. Two days later I get an email offering me the same job that I left prior from the same staffing agent that ghosted me.
Incompetent and unprofessional are understatements. They lack common sense and legitimate customer service skills. As a temp. you are just a seat to fill and nothing more. It doesn't matter your qualifications. There are plenty of agencies in the area with people that actually at least pretend to have a modicum of professional courtesy. Robert Half of East Lansing is by far the worst in the area. Avoid at all costs.
