- CDChester DawsonOct 4, 20251.0Lots of attitude from such a small post office. Do yourself a favor and take your business to the nearby Southfield p.o. The staff there are helpful and pleasant. Can't say the same for Franklin after multiple negative experiences. They should probably just close down this location; It's often empty anyway (outside of the year-end holidays.)

Showed up today at 11:50am and there’s a sign on the door saying “closed for lunch, back at 1:15”. That’s an hour and a half lunch? I get people need to eat, but an hour and a half starting before noon is crazy. Either staff this place with more than one person and stagger their lunches, or state clearly on the website and Google that the office is closed 11:50-1:15. But seeing it’s “open” online and then getting there only to have it be closed is really rude. I watched several people with packages walk up and then turn away disappointed just like me. Awful experience.

So you park and if you have a bunch of packages, you are treated with a handmade sign saying they are closed. What post office closes at 2pm during the week on a non holiday? Answer - only in Franklin, MI.
