Lots of attitude from such a small post office. Do yourself a favor and take your business to the nearby Southfield p.o. The staff there are helpful and pleasant. Can't say the same for Franklin after multiple negative experiences. They should probably just close down this location; It's often empty anyway (outside of the year-end holidays.)

The crew takes off for lunch which is NOT posted on the intenet. Today they were closed at 11:55am and posted that they would open at 1:15pm. Their lunch hours seem to have no conaiatency. Last time it was 12:30 - 2pm.

I’m fully aware that nobody enjoys a Post Office experience so I wrote off the negative reviews as part of that. My mistake.
Showed up today at 11:50am and there’s a sign on the door saying “closed for lunch, back at 1:15”. That’s an hour and a half lunch? I get people need to eat, but an hour and a half starting before noon is crazy.
Either staff this place with more than one person and stagger their lunches, or state clearly on the website and Google that the office is closed 11:50-1:15. But seeing it’s “open” online and then getting there only to have it be closed is really rude. I watched several people with packages walk up and then turn away disappointed just like me. Awful experience.

The woman who works the front desk here seems wholly unprepared to do her job.
She does not seem to know the difference between UPS and USPS, so when someone brings in a box that should go elsewhere, it takes 20 minutes for her to figure out what to do.
In addition, on two separate occasions, I've asked for a package that was ready for pick-up, and she told me it wasn't there. I showed up the next day and got a different employee, and he found it immediately.
The first time this happened, I asked her to help me list the package as stolen since I had tried to retrieve it from her multiple times and was told it wasn't there. She became very defensive and told me to leave and report it to the seller. The next time I came in, the box was found by the other teller, next to employee's personal packages.
She constantly complains publicly about other customers, to other customers, for things as little as complex or international shipments, and consistently has backups of people waiting whenever someone has a request more difficult than ordering stamps or a shipment with pre-packaged labels.
I'll be moving my box as soon as I can, even though that means paying almost 2x as much for my area.
