- MKMelissa KolasaOct 20, 20251.0I recently had an issue with the Fowlerville Post Office where they incorrectly charged my customer extra postage. I mailed a 9x6 inch, 1 oz package containing a child’s felt face mask through USPS Ground Advantage. I paid $4.76, which is the correct rate for a small parcel. When my customer picked it up in Fowlerville, the post office forced her to pay an additional $5.20, claiming it didn’t qualify for Ground Advantage because it was “too thin” and was "not rigid "and had to go Priority Mail. That brought the total shipping cost to over $10 for a small one ounce par el— which is completely unreasonable. This was clearly a parcel, not a flat envelope, and USPS’s own website confirms that Ground Advantage covers small flexible packages like this. I’ve shipped hundreds of similar packages every year for over a decade with no issues anywhere else. Fowlerville’s branch appears to be misclassifying packages and overcharging customers.

NOPEEEEE. it was a pack a lip stains for my makeup & the walk way to the door & go the mail box are completely cleared out. why is it that hard to deliver one package that’s less than a pound & isn’t even the size of a ruler.

First she wrote a letter stating our road was bad and until "someone" fixed it we wouldn't get mail delivered. We have no control over the roads. Then she said our mailbox (here for 20 years) wasn't up to code. So we "fixed" the mailbox, even though she couldn't really say what the problem was--we think it was actually the flag that the mail delivery person ripped off of our box and we replaced. Then she said someone's dog was making it unsafe for delivery. When they deliver, it is to the residence and not the office where the SIGNS are posted for delivery. Because they can't read. Now she is saying they can't walk the packages to the door any more because they can't walk. Oh, and they can't drive the packages up either because......they don't know how to turn around in a driveway. She is now extorting us by requiring we sign a document stating it is OK for the post office to leave our packages in the road. This is absurd. Reading the reviews, I have to wonder if the US government is aware of this Kelly person working for them? Because she is nothing more than a liability. And "kelly girl" below is kelly writing her own review. How tacky.
