- LSLaurie SantaNov 13, 20171.0Paid for certified delivery of a letter at 8:30 am last Wednesday. I left the letter with the maillady who took payment at the counter. The letter was going to an Eastpointe address. So why was it sent to Pontiac that afternoon? It is now the following Monday and it still has not been delivered. I have had packages delivered across country faster than this letter, which was going, literally, two blocks away from the post office! Ridiculous! Update: I just reduced my star rating from 4 to 1. My letter was finally delivered today. It took a full week to deliver a letter within my own city boundries! I reduced stars to one, because I paid over $5 plus the stamp on the envelope for certified mail with signature required. I was told the tracking would have the name of the signer along with the delivery confirmation. Wrong! My delivery confirmation says, "Your letter was delivered to an individual". Not one bit of this delivery was worth a dime! Poor, poor, poor service and a rip off! Below is a copy of my tracking history.
