Good enough customer service but they REGULARLY put the wrong mail in the p.o. box!! Over the past year I've even LOST a few mail pieces because it was "misplaced" and were never "turned back in" by the accidental recipient. We'd change to a different post office if we didn't have to pay to update our address for driver's licenses, etc.

I'm from Florida but this was my Dad's post office and now it is mine. There's only a couple reviews on here about the post office here which is understandable considering how many people live in Palmyra, (small town, lol). But the reviews are mostly complaining about the hours, i spent half the year here last year & EVERYTHING in Palmyra ME has terrible hours as far as I'm concerned. Everything closes early! I'm a night person, not a morning person, this is not a good area to be a night person. By the time i start my day i better hurry up if i have to do anything in town because things will be closing soon. If you want to live here there's no choice but to accept shorter hours. Other than that I was and still am amazed at the excellent customer service I've received, ESPECIALLY at this post office. I've had to be back in Florida this year without knowing my return date so I've had numerous situations with mail that I've had to call & straighten out by phone with this post office (as long as it's before 2:00, lol) & the lady has ALWAYS been super friendly, super helpful & made my US mail situation so much easier than if it was dealing with one in a city like the one in Florida. It makes me so happy to deal with this kind of service & a reason i like & miss this area when I'm not there. It's like dealing with an individual, personal operation rather than the government. Thank you

Worst post office ever. Only open for about 4 hours a day, one hour lunch is often longer on either end. They hold our mail all the time ‘by customer request’ and because they are barely open it takes days to get the mail... multiple complaints and they still hold it. There’s not even any snow left, it’s all melted...
