- AAAlexisDec 30, 20251.0Whoever was working the desk got annoyed that he had to get up after I rung the bell for service to scan a package for me and give me a receipt. He said “well you can you just drop it off in the box” and kept repeating that. But I needed a receipt to confirm date and time of drop off (sometimes if I drop a package in the box without scanning it takes days for USPS to actually scan it). I explained that to him and he blew me off.

- SLSusan LukeNov 21, 20241.0No one will answer the phone at the following numbers: 207.934.4401, 207.284.5971 or 207.284.7611 for the Post Offices serving OOB, Biddeford and Saco. Agents let it ring for 1 - 4 minutes, then they quickly pick up the receiver and hang up the phone disconnecting the call. If you report this to the USPS' Regional Post Master, you will be assigned a Service Reguest which results in a phone call from someone the next day to tell you they don't have enough resources and that you should make sure you address the package correctly before you ship. Absolutely no accountability, no work ethic and no ability to solve very MINOR problems. Specifically, the package had a 53 vice 58 for the street number. The remainder of the street's name, city, state and zip code were correct on the shipping label which originated in San Francisco, CA from an on-line purchase. Given my cousin has lived at this same address for decades and her circa 1800s farmhouse is one of very few on her rural street, several postal employees had to do a WHOLE LOT OF NOTHING to effect a "return to sender" back to San Francisco. I called, I reported, I emailed, I begged and despite my full-time efforts, (which consumed four days of my life), the Post Offices' lack of interest and initiative won. Five days have elapsed since the package arrived at the Saco distribution center and yet my cousin still hasn't received her 60th birthday gift. I am exceedingly disappointed by the actions/inactions of far too many USPS employees. I was born at the Webber Hospital in Biddeford Maine 65 years ago. My LARGE family's legacy is rooted in success through hard work which makes me wish my experience was an unfortunate, isolated instance. Sadly, I know it was not, and it pains me deeply.
