(AmericanTrekker)Oct 26, 20245.0The folks working this little country post office do all they can, but it's not reasonable to expect them to remind you to tell your friends to be expecting a package like the one person complains about, and anyone who uses the automatic service which is supposed to tell you by email when you've got something waiting at the post office and sometimes even displays a photo of what it is, *should* know by now that service doesn't work most of the time and is largely useless. What you *can* do instead of running down to the post office every day to check, if you're expecting something important, is to call them and ask, and my experience has always been that they're courteous and helpful in checking for you and saving you the trip. Five star Post Office easily!
- DPD PApr 30, 20231.0They almost never leave a notice when they attempt to deliver a package, so you don't know you have something held at the post office unless you watch your tracking on every package coming to you very closely. I have told them that I'm not getting notices and they just say, "Well, you should've." I tried to use the pickup service once and put a package on my door to ship. The website confirmed my address was eligible for the service. I got confirmation the package was picked up while I was at work, then come home and find it still on my doorstep. I called to ask what happened and got told my address must not be eligible for the service... Very frustrating just to try to ship a package because they don't even have a drop box for when you have something prepaid that needs to go out. The slots on their boxes open like 2" wide at most. Makes life difficult when you need to ship something and work a full time day shift job since out here, you can't do pick up, or drop off when their office isn't open. They also close for lunch. Honestly surprised there aren't more bad reviews on here since I see lots of complaints on the Lake Arrowhead Facebook page. Lots of them say have communicated these complaints to the post office, but they fall on deaf ears.
