We can understand not receiving mail deliveries when it is stormy, but when there is very little on the road, we still do not get mail. UPS and FedEx do not seem to have a problem, and they do not have 4wheel drive, while the mail vehicles do have 4 wheel drive.
- EOElizabeth OwenApr 4, 20173.0The Post Office wants us to look upon it as an institution which is helpful and to be relied on ("neither rain nor sleet nor dark of night...) .and part of the community..so when they stopped allowing customers to have one piece of tape in an emergency, claiming it saved $1,000,000 nationwide, I thought it was probably a bit of an exaggeration. To mail a letter I had to buy a whole roll of packing tape. But yesterday I was sort of insulted to be locked out of my mailbox. I was baffled as to what had happened. Evidently, It was time to pay my box rental. It may have been overdue; I have been away due to an accident and serious family problems. I don't recall getting a payment notice.I have rented the same box for 12 years and I was locked out like some deliquent. It seems to me if the Post Office wants to continue its good relationship with its customers it needs to stop such Draconian policies.
