A bit rough … Seldom do we receive packages. Mostly notes for pick up in mailbox at end of road. when we do pick up … lines are always long. Most employees not friendly or helpful ;(

Today we were told that our carrier would no longer be delivering packages for the ENTIRE neighborhood in the winter. (There are 7 houses served by USPS) Because of our "road conditions," we will all be forced to pick up packages at the post office that closes before most people are out of work. The road for the neighborhood is packed dirt/gravel & well maintained all winter long. It's plowed & sanded during & after EVERY snowstorm. Currently there is ZERO snow or ice on it. Bare dirt. Regardless of this, they left pickup slips & later confirmed they will only be delivering letters to the mailboxes up by the main road. Completely unacceptable. Subsequent to a formal complaint I filed with the OIG about carriers not even attempting delivery for certified letters & packages in the summer; seems likely to be retaliation. Pickup slips would be left in the box even though individuals were clearly home. Mail truck never drove down. This post office desperately needs an audit. Will be putting in another formal complaint to OIG. Maybe they can determine why carriers & management are unable to perform basic job duties. Expect nothing but incompetence. No one answers phones. Sporadic business hours. Packages marked as delivered, then appear days later. The list goes on.
