I know that there’s been some issues with mail delivery in this town. I think things have gotten better in the past couple years. Every town probably has their complaints about mail delivery in some form. My last few visits to the post office itself have been positive, and the most recent one stands out. I went to deliver an important piece of mail this week and I must’ve been having an off-day because I completely botched the whole envelope. Thankfully, the nice man behind the counter helped me fix it and didn’t make me feel like an imbecile. He helped me find the best way to send it because I had to get it there ASAP. But then… I got the zip code wrong. He pointed it out nicely when he saw the state it was going to, and helped me find the right one. He even spent the time crossing the old zip code out more thoroughly so there weren’t any problems. Then, I got the street number wrong! He couldn’t find the address. He didn’t make me feel bad or tell me I must’ve messed up. He took my word for it and kept looking for the address until my brain turned on and I realized I put in the wrong number. The whole time he was helpful and didn’t make me feel stupid for making all these mistakes. That was a 5 star experience. He could’ve been justifiably irritated, but instead he was patient and kind.

I would leave no stars if I could. I'm visiting from out of state and went to mail things home that I couldn't fit in my bag for my flight. Asked to borrow tape so we could tape up a priority box and he said no we had to buy it. No big deal. Grabbed the tape to buy it and he just walked away and went to the back of the store. Rude. Witnessed him being extremely rude to the lady in front of us as well. Why don't you retire you old grumpy curmudgeon?!

I could go on for days but bottom line I am so tired of receiving other people's mail.
