The worst! We haven’t received mail or packages in 15 days. I went to collect all and they wouldn’t take the time to look for it or give it to me. David from western ave location just called me and basically called me a liar and hung up on me. $9billion in the hole this year and it’s no wonder why

*Yes, wheelchair accessible. My second favorite local post office. You can have your QR labels printed here! Plus the staff are incredibly knowledgeable... ask them anything mail related & one of them will know the answer right on the spot. They're sometimes either a little short staffed, or have very busy times during the day. So it's better not to go at peak hours, or you may wait a while.

This is, without exaggeration, one of the most disgraceful examples of customer service I have ever experienced. The Augusta USPS is completely nonfunctional. I have called countless times over the last ten days and not once has anyone answered the phone. There is effectively no way to contact this office, which should be unacceptable for a federal service. I have not received mail in nearly two weeks, including critical prescription medications. This is not an inconvenience—this is reckless and dangerous. People depend on USPS for life-sustaining deliveries, and this office has shown absolute indifference to that responsibility. When I went in person to retrieve my packages, the postmaster was hostile, dismissive, and shockingly unprofessional. I was told my packages were “in a pile upstairs” and that he wasn’t going to look for them. Read that again: packages that have been sitting at this facility for nearly two weeks, and the person in charge flat-out refused to make any effort to retrieve them. This is not a staffing issue. This is a leadership and accountability failure. The attitude displayed suggests that negligence, rudeness, and laziness are not only tolerated but normalized at this location. If this is how USPS intends to operate, then the public deserves answers. This location needs immediate oversight, disciplinary action, and a complete overhaul of management. People’s health, finances, and livelihoods are being compromised by sheer incompetence. Avoid this location if you can—and USPS leadership should be embarrassed that this is happening under their watch.

Office staff are great. They all know me on a first name basis which is pretty sweet. However the carriers seem to have personal vendettas against the general public for no apparent reason. The thing is that nothing can be done about this because USPS is so massively understaffed due to budget cuts that they have to keep these carriers on payroll to get mail delivered. If I wasn't disabled I would apply in a heartbeat because what the carriers are doing is destroying public trust in the postal service. I had an issue with my landlord committing felony mail interception and there's nothing the post office could do about it because the carriers refused to obey supervisor orders. This exact problem is why I've moved apartments. I upended a life of 9 years and was forced to move because the postal service couldn't get the carriers to stop being complicit in mail crimes.
