I went to Staples on 301 to return 2 items ordered from Amazon. I was told that a "scanner problem" meant that Amazon returns couldn't be processed until 3:30pm. It was 2:30pm. So it goes. I called the store around 5pm and asked if their scanner problem was resolved and was told they were again doing returns. So I drive back and am met with a sign "Amazon Closed after 6pm." It was 7:10pm. THERE WAS NO SUCH NOTICE POSTED AT 2:30pm during my 1st attempt. The woman at the register acted as though my pointing out that the 6pm sign wasn't posted earlier in the day wasn't anything she much cared about. I've had less than stellar interactions with the staff in previous visits but nothing like today. I'll find another Staples and hope their staff shows a bit more concern for the customer.

I am submitting this complaint to formally document an unprofessional and unacceptable customer service experience at this location on 12/22/25 around 4:00pm. I visited the store to complete an Amazon return, as the business is designated as an authorized Amazon return location. I presented several items for return, at which point the associate assisting me expressed dissatisfaction and stated—under her breath—that her manager would need to assist due to the number of items. From the register the manager was standing, he asked how many items were being returned. I answered clearly. He responded with a visible smirk and an expression of displeasure, then disengaged without providing assistance, leaving the associate to proceed. The associate’s demeanor thereafter was overtly unpleasant, dismissive, and inconsistent with any reasonable standard of customer service. The manager’s conduct was unprofessional, and the associate’s behavior was inappropriate and unacceptable. At no point was courtesy, professionalism, or respect demonstrated. This interaction occurred while I was utilizing a service the store actively promotes and advertises. This complaint is submitted to ensure the incident is formally recorded and addressed. No customer should be subjected to dismissive behavior, visible contempt, or retaliatory attitudes when seeking routine services. Failure to maintain basic standards of professionalism reflects poorly on management oversight and staff training. I then proceeded to pick up a UPS Access Point package and the associate was far more pleasant. I believe her name was Sharonda. Please forgive me for any misspelling of her name. She was helpful and exuded a positive attitude unlike her counterparts, whom which had something negative to say about her before she was asked to assist me. I expect this matter to be reviewed and addressed accordingly by someone in Corporate; I will ensure this review is escalated.

I just wanted to hype up James with the curly hair and deep voice. He was absolutely compassionate, professional, patient, understanding and helpful. He did excellent work on my father’s obituary program. He handle multiple customers while still being attentive to my mom and I. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our final print. James showed great expertise and was very knowledgeable in editing, going out of his way to problem solve and correct several issues with the original pdf. Thank you again James for doing a wonderful job. You really did make it easy.
