  I was advised to visit this Severn, MD post office because another location had run out of stamps for mailing my wedding invitations. I deeply regret going here. The employee, Pani, displayed no customer service or empathy. I asked for clarification on fees because another branch had quoted me a different price. Instead of patiently explaining, he spoke in a condescending and dismissive manner, repeatedly saying things like, “I just explained it to you,” and his demeanor made me walk out. This tone was off-putting and inappropriate for anyone claiming to work in customer service. I was trying to ensure my invitations were handled correctly, and his behavior made the situation unnecessarily stressful. His co-worker, who could see that I was visibly upset, did not offer any assistance or attempt to de-escalate the situation. The entire experience left me feeling dismissed, frustrated, and unvalued as a customer. This location’s customer service is horrible, and I will never return. I will stick with UPS for future mailing needs.

  Dropped off a pair of shoes in a box to be shipped. Had a QR code. Clerk generated a label and stuck it on the box and when asked me if I needed a receipt I said "No". Then low and behold, the package disappeared. IT was never scanned & I do not have a receipt!!! WHERE IS MY SHOES

  On today went to the USPS at Severn to mail three letters and the African American light skin guy said "uggh you don't have a bill smaller than a twenty dollar bill," I replied no I do not then another postal employee comes from the back "Hey Steve someone is calling about P.O. Box blank blank and then the African American light skin guys says " oh somebody's box is closed ha, ha". These are the most rude,uneducated, ghetto acting postal employees I've dealt with. This is the second encounter I've had with this rude African American light skin guy. Customer service is horrible and management needs to train these untrained employees on customer service. I have over 15+ years of experience with county,state, and federal government customer service experience and these people just don't care, make all kind of rude comments in front of customers. This experience today is worth reporting and tell everybody to go to another location. The African Americans at this location are the worse I've dealt with. I'm African American by the way and I do not understand rude, nasty comments about customer's and talking about personal business at work.

  Staff is very friendly...i love the front counter team they have. Despite the reviews below, you have to think of where the problems are occurring, as far as my rating I have never had an issue, and only have had to deal with the front counter staff, and I must say they are friendly, curteous,and proficient.

  So severn mail for certified mail with a signature.....i was waiting for a package all day finally 7pm, i was within a few paces of my home and the mail woman ran out of her car and didnt even knock on the door just left the certified mail reciept at my door and ran all within less than 3 seconds. I had to chase her down and when i saw what she did and told her about it she was offended about doing her job... severn mail is the most unprofessional thing ive ever witnessed. Who delivers mail in an rhyme stone hat and yoga pants and a graphic tee. The post office isnt much better... just DO YOUR JOB!! And stop complaining about it and rolling your eyes there are several jobs out there.
