The person who does fingerprinting is not available on Tuesdays (as of Jan 2026). The process itself is fast and $50 but you may encounter wait time as it’s a walk-in service.

Employees are great but phone dialer system is garbage and staffing is inconsistent. With Louis Dejoy had finished the job axing the postal service so Bezos can take over

Great fingerprinting experience. I came November 2025 since I had to redo fingerprints for my FBI criminal background check (for a visa). I had my barcode prepared (from the online form in advance). They were able to do it quickly and easily. I just did the electronic prints, showed them my ID, and paid the $50. I did not need an appointment. I received the receipt and the confirmation that the fingerprints were sent to the FBI all within about 5 minutes from doing my prints and paying. Staff was very friendly. Only downside is that it's impossible to get anyone from the Post Office (in multiple locations on the phone). Even the staff acknowledged "yep that's just the post office" which is a bit sad. It's a very stressful process to endure and it would be nice to be able to speak to a human and ask for reassurance about the fingerprinting (if the machine is working, if you need an appointment, if there's staff trained to do the fingerprinting during certain hours, etc.) Especially since the online website that lists the post office locations even says to CALL in advance to check. But then no one picks up the phone. Not just this location, but others in the nearby area.
