A majority of the staff is great at this location and go above and beyond, making it easy to support USPS. However, there’s a staff member with dark red hair on Wednesdays who is unprofessional, rude, and will not do basic tasks commensurate with the position. She said today, “every time I come to this office in Rising Sun, I’m fighting with people about what we do and don’t do.” The other staff members perform tasks that do not require a massive amount of time, but goes a long way to encourage repeat customers. If one staff member is fighting with customers, maybe they shouldn’t be there. This was our fourth interaction. The first time, she ignored the growing line while walking past us. I complimented her hair, and she stopped walking past me and helped me. The second, she was on the phone for five minutes with her son, which is fine, I get it- but given additional issues, it’s just another thing. The third time, she mocked my voice back at me when I asked a question. A piece of tape came loose. I said, oh hey, I left my tape at home and this is breaking- I didn’t see it, so you mind taping it quickly? She mimicked my voice back to me and said. “No we don’t do that!” It was unpleasant. Today, I walked in and had an address and she said I had to write the address on the box so that she could print a label to adhere to the box over my writing and insisted that I could tape my piece of paper to the box if I didn’t want to write it on the box. I have never had that issue at that post office. It felt very petty. She called her manager, who said, yes, we do that. And that’s when she hung up and said she regularly argues with customers. So… avoid USPS on Wednesdays.

I was supposed to get a package today that needed to be signed for and I waited by the door and she delivered it a package to my neighbors but not mine and then they said at the post office I have to be home for the next 3 hours for re delivery so they messed up and are doing nothing to fix it

I totally understand the post office is probably a crazy place to work but seriously it's getting ridiculous. I'm constantly missing mail or getting other ppl mail. Now she wants to tell me unless I have a yellow slip they won't give me packages. Ummm excuse me when I have my order with a tracking # stating it was delivered to the post office somebody's gonna get my dang package that's literally their job. It's not my problem I didn't get a yellow slip not to mention I might have multiple packages and they only give u 1 slip. So I want my packages

I really hate the post office in general. Signed up for a PO Box online- paid for it on there and everything. Went to go get my box/ key. No one at counter, 5th in line. Left after 15 mins. Came back an hour later, 3rd in line. No one at counter. Came back few hours later. 3rd in line again. Lady said the guy than can do it just left- be back in 10. Came back next day at 2:30. He’s out to lunch. Came back 30 mins later. He refuses to print out the 1 page form needed for P.O. Box. Go to grandparents to print paper and return. Finally get box assigned. No keys. Likely 2 month lead time for keys. Spot on my receipt says “2 keys delivered. None on order” so I’m sure they’ll try to charge me for keys at some point. Went to try to email/ chat with someone online to say about key issue- and of course they say, “we don’t have any info on key orders, we can give you the number to your local branch”, well no kidding. I wanted to push it to a higher power, so I wasn’t getting charged for keys at some point, but we will see. Typical of any government run institution I guess. Absolutely terrible service, nothing is easy online, run down buildings, and understaffed. Maybe if they gave options for general mail service once a week, or once a month- they could save some money. Lord knows i don’t need mail every day, it’s like 90% junk anyway. Nothing says “save the planet” like printing out useless junk, and paying for fuel for the 1995 model mail vans, and diesel tractor trailers to transport it all.
