Their rudeness with general ineptness is a testament to fact that their union is able to force the post office to keep worthless employees. In the civilian marketplace, these people would have been fired. For 2 months I purposely tried to get the guy with the bad hair cut to smile. EVERYDAY. It was as if he was on a daily mission to be a jerk. And not just with me. I watched this daily attitude to others in line. On 5 occasions I've had to speak with the postmaster about delivery problems. Each time there was a different postmaster. And the last one was leaving in the next week, she said she couldn't wait to get out of there. Finally discovered that the post office at Port Republic was a joy to do business with. So even though it was in the wrong direction and an extra 10 minute drive, I went there with my online business mailings. I'm sorry if you live in this town. Go to Port Republic and smile. They will smile back and talk to you as if you're their neighbor—not a nuisance.
