It wasn’t a large package—medium-sized at most—and the store was not busy at the time. He had just finished being dismissive to another customer, which made the interaction even more uncomfortable. Basic customer service skills, such as greeting customers, offering assistance, and showing a willingness to help, were completely lacking. Making assumptions about people’s situations and speaking down to them is unacceptable. I have no intention of returning to this location—even if I were being paid to.
