    I've visited many UPS Stores across the country due to frequent travel for work, and until now, I've never had a negative experience. I recently needed to drop off a package that had been sitting in my car for a few weeks, and I finally found a location near my hotel that was convenient. I forgot to tape the box, which has never been an issue in the past—UPS staff have always been courteous and willing to assist. However, this visit was a stark contrast. I'm not a local, and the employee who received my package was both rude and condescending. Without so much as a greeting, he immediately told me that I needed to have my box taped next time. It wasn’t a large package—medium-sized at most—and the store was not busy at the time. He had just finished being dismissive to another customer, which made the interaction even more uncomfortable. Basic customer service skills, such as greeting customers, offering assistance, and showing a willingness to help, were completely lacking. Making assumptions about people’s situations and speaking down to them is unacceptable. I have no intention of returning to this location—even if I were being paid to.
