On Monday October 6, at 8:36 am I went to the post office to inquire about the status of a mail box key that I purchased in September. I purchased the mailbox key September 17. I have yet to get a phone call from the post office telling me that I can go pick it up. Last week I called on Friday to inquire about the status, the associate who answered did not greet and was very rude. She was very short with me and didn’t try to inquire more about why I was calling. I was simply told that they didn’t have any request for the address that I had provided. They asked for my phone number and said they would call me back. They never called back. It will almost be a week and they still have not called back. Talk about customer service! So then on Monday, I went to the post office, Michelle was the associate who I asked about any information regarding my mailbox key she asked me for my address. I pulled my phone out to look for it and then Michelle very rudely asked” what you don’t know your address?” I explained to her that I recently moved to this new address so I wanted to make sure that I gave her the correct address. All she responded was “oh”. Is customer service not important for the post office? Are associates told that having good customer service is NOT a requirement? Is helping the customers who call not a priority? Is speaking kindly to customers who enter the facility not important? Is it okay to charge customers $40 for a mail box key and then loose the paper work or even better, NEVER submit for the mail box key to be changed??

I’ve been waiting for my babies medicine and not once did the USPS notify me that they were returning it. I I had to find out via email from the company the medication was being dispensed from. I called and was told it would just be late now it’s not coming at all, thanks for nothing.

4:40 PM and they are totally closed. Is it because it's George Washington's birthday? Unsure, but I've seen this happen on other occasions too - they close the gates to the postal store way early. Also the wait times are usually pretty crazy no matter what time of day. They need a more efficient system.

Going inside and standing in line takes forever. The carriers are idiots, numerous times have they delivered our mail to the wrong address, and we get the other people's mail, just because the street names look similar. Come on, that's as basic as kindergarten. I know it's a small town but that doesn't mean they should be so careless. They need to step up their game. People often receive personal things in the mail so any mistake could be costly. I live in HdG so unfortunately I just have to deal with this postal service for now. ***Update*** I came here to buy a stamp. Omg they are soooooo slow!!!!!! The girl who wears dreadlocks that are high enough to reach the ceiling, she moves at the speed of molasses. I think the extremely slow movement is done on purpose because she seems ignorant. It took forever for another employee to open a second line. I hate this post office. Don't come here if you're in a hurry.
