I had a shipping number mix up with Etsy and thought that a package was lost. The ladies at the Hampstead post office spent their time double-checking to make sure that they didn't have the package. Thanks to their help I was able to figure out it was an issue with Etsy. I felt so bad that they went to all that effort. I am really grateful that they were able to help me figure everything out. Really kind folks.

I used to love this Post Office, but over the past several years, the service has plummeted. The carriers shove packages into the mailbox that don't fit, and it's a major struggle to get them out. I seriously thought we would have to cut open the mailbox to get one of our packages out. They also frequently mix up our mail with various neighbors' (they've done it 3 times just this week with clearly labeled boxes). The latest incident was when they delivered a package somewhere (but not to me), and when I contacted them, there was no follow-up. When I called to see what the status was, I was told the carrier had looked in the other mailboxes and did not find it. Gee, thanks for the minimal effort put into finding my package. I was also asked if I had maybe received something that didn't look like a package. I think I know what I ordered and what it should look like, and a flat piece of paper isn't it. The dismissive attitude is extremely frustrating. Just because the Post Office's record shows it was delivered does not mean it was delivered to the correct address. I understand mistakes happen, but when it happens constantly, and there is no effort to correct it, it just shows the employees don't care and should not be working there.

Had a package say it was delivered went out of my way from work to go grab which is a 10 minute drive. Looked around and it wasn’t there asked the people at the front and they said it was delivered to my neighbors house asked neighbors they didn’t have it. Tried to call the post office again asking where it was and they weren’t even picking up the phone to answer.

Apparently doing their job on a Saturday is to much for this staff. The smug look on their face when they tell you they aren't going to do their job doesn't help warm you too them either. They are extremely unhelpful. A fellow customer had to suggest to me that I try the library to apply for my children's passports. The postal worker just wanted to argue with me that whoever I spoke to was wrong. I did my due diligence. I called this office and was told I didn't need any appointment and that they did do passports on Saturday. I had all the paperwork filled out, a check for each application, cash for the post office fee, passport photos of my children and all the items they needed photocopied I had the copies already done. But it must be to hard for them to look over everything, staple some items and mail them off. This place is a joke. Do yourself a favor and go to the library to apply for a passport. They do them on Saturday without an appointment up until 3p. They also sell stamps. This is way more convenient for working parents.
