I left and printed my own label and stuck on my box. When they scanned my package, the label printer printed out a drop off receipt on a label! I didn't really need a receipt since it was going to a friend, but there it was, the label printer printed out something that I didn't even need when what would have been convenient earlier was a no go. Perplexing that I didn't have to pay for the label that the receipt printed out on, but if I wanted the label instead of a receipt it would be $2. Seems like more of a money to print receipts on a label than just on thermal paper like everywhere else. Maybe if they didn't waste all the money on label receipts the UPS store could actually print a UPS label that goes on the box that they are going to ship. I was also told that if I had a QR code instead of a label on my phone, they would have scanned the code and printed the label for free-- not sure why it matters that they could scan a QR code off my phone, but not the label or just type in the tracking # for print.
