Applied for a passport, and had an appointment around lunchtime when the facility wasn't very busy. The USPS employees were pleasant to deal with. Had to leave a positive review to balance out some of the negative ones. I think that sometimes negative reviews can paint a skewed overall impression of the usual experience, as people tend to not leave reviews unless something unusual happened (and "unusual" when it comes to post office stuff almost always means "bad".)

Get the older Asian lady out of there immediately. She is very rude and belittling. Screaming at people. Send her home for her retirement she doesn’t deserve to be out in public especially without her medication.

Note: My 5-star review is based on the customer service at my local branch, NOT mail delivery to my home (which, as we all know, has wavered between extremely subpar and mediocre due to larger Postal Service issues and the pandemic). Because this is a widespread problem, I'm not going to blame my local carrier. I have been to the Clarksburg branch multiple times, and am always treated pleasantly and receive fast service. It may be because I go on weekdays, but the line hasn't been longer than 3 people for me, and moves quickly. This is miles above service I've received at other branches. Thank you to the staff!

I’ve tried and tried to be forgiving with this branch but the fact of the matter is that they are plagued with major problems that simply shines a spotlight on the overall futile nature of the U.S. Postal system in general. Mail, particularly packages, are consistently late and oftentimes not delivered when the tracking states it has been. This then requires a phone call to the branch where communication then becomes yet another hurdle to overcome as English is a second language to the folks answering the phones and trying to explain what happened and get a resolution is oftentimes more frustrating than the fact that the package is missing. To add to this, and what I believe to be a contributing factor to these issues, is the fact that my mail has for the past two years begun to arrive later and later. I used to receive my mail around 2pm and now am averaging a 4:30-5pm delivery. Coupled with the constantly changing drivers, it appears that the issues with deliveries, both physical packages and delivery times, is a function of drivers not knowing their routes and/or the lack of consistency with drivers driving the same routes. I grew up in NYC with the same mailman for twenty years and can attest to never having this issue, and they walked their route! All-in-all, this post office needs a major reshuffling and a change in leadership as their inability to meet the basic expectations of a post office have plagued them for years and continues to do at the expense of customers and tax payers.
