ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE customer service. The tellers and so-called “customer service agents” at this location are consistently rude, unprofessional, and completely lack basic customer service skills; specifically Philomena Williams. There is no courtesy, no patience, and no willingness to assist. Instead of being helpful, the staff comes across as dismissive and irritated, as if customers are an inconvenience. This is unacceptable behavior for a public service facility. Especially, when the issues addressed have been due to inefficiency by the USPS and the carriers at this location. I would not recommend this location to anyone! (The 1 star rating was 1 too many.)

HORRIBLE customer service. I am so disappointed. I’m going on a trip with my husband and infant in May and needed to get her a new passport and renew mine so I did all the paperwork and brought everything with me that I would need. The only thing I didn’t fill out was a portion on the paperwork that said to wait until it’s notarized to fill out, which I was waiting to do until I got to the postal office. I recently moved from Bethesda to Frederick with my husband so I made the 45 minute drive back to Bethesda with my 3 month old in freezing/snowy conditions because it was the only location available for passport appointments. The MOMENT I walked in the woman handling passports gave me an immediate attitude, as if she couldn’t be bothered by me to waste any of her time and started asking if I had all the correct forms/print outs I needed. Would barely let me finish a sentence before she’d interrupt me, kept speaking over me and was outright rude for no reason. When she saw I didn’t have the paperwork notarized, because I thought they would do it at the post office, she seemed excited that she wouldn’t have to help me out any longer and kept telling me to go get it notarized somewhere because they don’t do that there. I explained I drove with my 3 month old for 45 minutes from Frederick and asked please can you help me figure out a solution, kept talking over me so I said “well, you couldn’t have wanted to get rid of me any faster. Have a nice day” and left just to sit in an hour of traffic on the way home. Very disappointing. I will be going to the other location now because I do not wish to ever have such an unpleasant encounter for absolutely no reason ever again, especially in front of my daughter. The amount of negative reviews was appalling. Something needs to be done about this. Google and Yelp both have ENDLESS complaints about this same woman. And she’s apparently been there for years??? Why stay with a job that clearly makes you miserable, and makes innocent people feel miserable as well. All around very disappointing.

Short line when I came in, figured it would quick to mail one priority package but I stood in line for 45 mins. One of the two guys working announced he was taking a break (with at least 9 people in line) and the only other guy working at the front had a broken printer and although he called for help a few times, no one came to his assist. Eventually one woman came from out back and helped people out at the self kiosk, she was great. Apologized for the hectic wait and lack of staff but was the most helpful. I wil add, there was a woman cleaning up/sweeping. Someone came up the counter and she said excuse me can I ask a question?… and this woman snapped back at her pretty rudely. The rest of us in line looked at each other shocked. I know they were slammed busy, but there’s no reason to snap like that when you’re just sweeping in the back.
