Some of THE hardest working postal carriers and clerks in the business. You won't find anyone else in the postal service who puts in the same amount of time and effort as the people here. Even with people screaming in their face, they still perform their jobs to the best of their ability.

I had a bad experience recently at the Williamsburg post office. I would NOT recommend them for processing a passport application. The man who helped me and my family was very nice, and supposedly had been processing passport applications for years, but he made a mistake which now has cost me additional money and will likely make it so we cannot go on the trip we were planning. I am a very detail-oriented person and I carefully put together folders with each of our passport documents. Mine was the one renewal in the group and for some reason the man who helped us did not include my marriage certificate in my passport application paperwork, even though I provided it with all the documents I gave him. I did not realize that he hadn't mailed my marriage certificate until I got home and went to put the folders away and saw that my marriage certificate was in mine. I changed my last name when I got married and my new passport needed to reflect my current new last name, so this document was critical to my application. Our appointment at the post office was on a Saturday, so by the time I realized this, our application had already been sent off. I went to the post office first thing on Monday morning and the man who helped us had the nerve to blame it on me saying, "I must not have given him the marriage certificate." (I am CERTAIN that I did.) All he offered was the 1-800 number for the passport processing center. Not even an apology. I called the number immediately and was told I had to wait until they contacted me needing that supporting document. That didn't happen for over two months. I immediately sent in my marriage certificate when it was requested, and paid nearly $30 to have it overnighted. I also paid an additional $79 to have my passport expedited. I still don't have my passport and we are supposed to leave this Friday. The entire rest of my family has received theirs. I am so upset and angered that he messed up our plans and cost me money (and never even apologized). I strongly suggest using another post office for applying for a passport.

Worst customer service. Rude. Unwilling to help change address after moving to the area. Only time I’ve had a priority box rejected for having a slight curve and held for more money. Literally the worst post office workers in New England. Go Anywhere else.
