  terrible customer service. horrible horrible service. inconsiderate, and just overall disrespectful of customers time. i had an appointment at 09:45 this morning, there was an appt before me who was delayed—despite arriving nearly on time, the mail person decided to see TWO walk-ins prior to my scheduled appointment slot from 9:45-10:15. the mail woman was busy flirting with the man who was a walk-in, almost purposely after i stated why they were servicing a walk-in before a scheduled appointment? it doesn’t make sense, she responded “oh he’s here for a renewal it’s a totally different thing” — how? isn’t it still a passport service? i was there with my toddler who after our 15-20 minute wait, told me he had to use the bathroom. when they decided to service the walk-in despite me being there waiting, i then said i would be back in 2 minutes tops because my son had to pee. when i got back not even 2-3 minutes later, they decided to service another walk-in AFTER telling me id be up next. why say appointments are required and then NOT honor the appointment time? i’m confused. the passport fair was scheduled from 12 pm - 3 pm. my appointment was at 09:45 am, BEFORE this. there was no apology, no consideration, no respect, nor any empathy from either employee present. i booked an appointment for a reason and had to work after. total disregard for customers and their time. but when a customer is LATE, appointment is cancelled right?! where is the fairness in that. USPS website states appointment REQUIRED. i left the store at 10:15 without being serviced and had to reschedule my appointment! its sad—i’m a single parent working multiple jobs and was on a time crunch, you never know what people have on their plate; and to move with absolutely no sense of urgency for a customer who had an appt (delayed by no fault of their own) is unacceptable. i did file a formal complaint. i hope and pray you hold your employees accountable. DO BETTER PLEASE.

  The US Post Office in West Roxbury provides solid, reliable service and the staff is generally helpful and efficient. I would have given it 5 stars, but the parking situation makes it a bit inconvenient. It’s street parking only, and I had to park a couple of blocks away. Aside from that challenge, the post office itself does a good job and is dependable overall.
