I was told that I had to get a Post Office Box in order to receive mail here. $80/year. Paid in advance. Fine. Come to find out months later, that my upstairs neighbor complained about this policy and receives a FREE post office box. When I inquired with the post master, last year, I was told that my coming year would be free. When I went to renew my "free" PO box, I was told there is only one per residence...and I live in a 2-family building so my upstairs neighbor who moved in after me gets a free PO Box but I myself cannot get one. This seems like a ridiculous policy. I'm curious if any other neighbors been told about the Free boxes or if they're just making $80 per person because they don't want to deliver?
