Now it's been over a month and it looks like I never stepped foot through the door because the clerk never scanned my package. When I came back into the post office after a few weeks to ask about it, it was the same clerk and she says to me I should have asked for a receipt. If I go to UPS they just hand me a receipt or at least ask if I want one AND scan my package in front of me. But now I know, ALWAYS get a receipt and never go to the Scituate post office because they may keep your package.
