The problem is that people needing regular postal services (which are quick but high in traffic) are mixed in with those coming for passport services (which take longer but have less traffic). So, there’s definitely room to make things more efficient. On the bright side, the staff here are super friendly and professional. If you can swing by during off-peak hours, you’ll be pretty happy with the service!

And a package may make it to Germany one time and then when the exact same item is mailed again it might get kicked back as hazmat even though it's not and even though the EXACT SAME ITEM was already shipped and made it there once. And the fact that the postal workers cannot tell you why or how a package did or did not make it is perfectly okay because this post office will just continue to take big money to attempt to ship it and they won't take a shred of responsibility for the haphazard and patchwork policy they have on using the mail system to mail laptops.
